Sharona

Please excuse the quality of these photos. The first one was taken with my iPad and I discovered that my camera has a mind of its own while downloading the next two. This is disappointing because I thought the camera and I had an understanding and now the my next few blog posts will have pictures that I will be apologizing for.

As you can see from the top picture this tutorial, the Sharona pendant by Peggy Heidrich of Beadworx Studio requires a lot of different parts. But, don't be put off by that, her tutorials are wonderfully detailed, with lots of step by step pictures of the thread path. Peggy is probably my favorite European bead artist/designer. You should visit her blog so you can see how she plays with color. You can tell she has lots of fun and none of her designs are repetitive.

The beaded bead is from a pattern in Beadwork magazine, Aug/Sept 2012 issue. I have already completed this necklace, but because it is a present for a friend who might read this I can't show the finished product. At least not until December when she returns from Africa where she is doing missionary work--I promise to tell more on that later, I am so in awe of her.
